Warm Soup For Charity In Moorestown Feb. 24

The Moorestown High School Interact Club will host its 16th annual "Soup for the Soul" to benefit Philabundance.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The Moorestown High School Interact Club will host its 16th annual “Soup for the Soul” charity event on Saturday, Feb. 24, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. The event is fully run by students, and features a buffet-style meal with all-you-can-eat soup and bread donated by local restaurants. Students perform live music throughout the day.

Tickets will be sold at the door and cost $10 for adults and $7 for seniors and children. There is also a $10 takeout option that includes a container of soup and two pieces of bread. All proceeds are donated to Philabundance, which is dedicated to ending hunger in the Delaware Valley. This year’s goal is $5,000.

“During this cold time of the year, what could be a better way to warm up than by enjoying a steamy bowl of soup with members of your community, while also supporting a great cause,” the club said in a release.
