The meeting will come one day after the Moorestown Water Group meets on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Friends Meeting House in Moorestown, 7 p.m.
The group is made up of a number of citizens concerned about levels of Trichloropropane (TCP 1, 2, 3) in the township’s drinking water. The group’s Facebook page had 331 members as of Monday afternoon.

The issue first came to light in 2013, when two water wells at the Church Street water treatment plant were closed. One of those wells reopened last summer after the well showed a “non-detect” level of TCP 1,2,3. Levels have tested at around .07 levels in each month since it has been reopened.
“We are trying to work hard with the town council and city manager to get this situation rectified,” Kati Angelini, a member of the group, said. “All we are asking for is transparency about the water in Moorestown and to provide our residents with carcinogen free water.”
She said the group’s goal is to change how the township is handling the water situation.
“We will do whatever it takes to get the word out about the injustice happening in our town with regards to the water,” she said. “We will not stop fighting until Well 7 is closed down and we are no longer exposed to TCP, TCE and other known contaminants.”
