What legislation did council pass Monday night?

Moorestown, NJ -- Moorestown Council unanimously approved its final two pieces of legislation for the year during Monday night’s council meeting at town hall.
Council approved an ordinance, 4-0, to institute a pay range of $20-$30 an hour for a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer, and a salary range of $40,000-$95,000 a year for Sub-Code Officials/Inspectors for building, electrical, plumbing and fire.
The other ordinance amends township ordinance to set fees to be charged by the construction code officer annually. If the township requires the services of a third-party inspection agency, fees will be imposed under state statute. It was also approved with a 4-0 vote.

Council also finalized a date of Wednesday night, Jan. 6, for its reorganization meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. at town hall. Council looks to reappoint its professionals during that meeting.
It will also consider who will serve as mayor and deputy mayor in 2016. Victoria Napolitano became the youngest mayor in Moorestown history when she was appointed by members of council during the 2015 reorganization meeting.
