Where Can Moorestown Residents Throw Away Broken Holiday Lights?
Residents can go to the county to dispose of non-working strands of holiday lights.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The holidays are a festive time, but what happens when you have that one strand of lights that just won't cooperate? Residents throughout Burlington County are able to recycle non-working strands of indoor and outdoor holiday lights at Burlington County’s Resource Recovery Complex for free during the holiday season, according to county officials.
“It’s that time of year again when you take out the holiday lights, plug them in, and nothing happens,” Burlington County Freeholder Deputy Director Kate Gibbs said. “Instead of tossing them in your trash, help keep the holidays ‘green’ by recycling your non-working strands of indoor and outdoor holiday lights at the County’s Resource Recovery Complex."
She added that strings of lights should never be put in curbside recycling carts or buckets. They should instead be put in clear plastic bags or cardboard boxes.
