Moorestown Road Work Affected by Shut Down As of Friday
The governor's office has released a list of transportation projects that will shut down Friday due to a lack of funding.

Moorestown, NJ -- Gov. Chris Christie is playing hardball with the New Jersey Legislature, and is vowing to go through with a planned shutdown of all roadwork projects in the state starting Friday, after the Senate refused his proposal to raise the state’s gas tax.
How will this affect you? Four projects in Moorestown will be put on hold, including:
- The $1 million rehabilitation of the bridge over the north branch of Pennsauken Creek, funded by a 2014 grant;
- A $196,000 improvement project on Pleasant Valley Avenue, funded by a 2015 grant;
- $220,000 in improvements to Borton’s Landing Road, funded by a 2016 grant; and
- A $196,912 capital improvement project on Route 38 and Lenola Road.
Additionally, several NJ Transit River Line projects will be put on hold.
