Whiz Kids of the Week: WAMS Wrestlers

The middle school wrestling team ended its season with a sixth-place finish at the county tournament.

○      Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: Placed sixth at the Burlington County Middle School End of Year Tournament

○      Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: Heavyweight Niles Turner and 189-pounder Tyreek Smith took first place in the middle school tournament in which WAMS placed sixth out of 21 teams. Tristan Sporer, 105 pounds, took second place; 150-pounder Anthony Cruz placed third and 100-pounder James Macrae and 80-pounder Wesley Sporer placed fifth for the Quakers. In addition, Smith took first place at the Pirate Classic and JT Menendez, Tristan Sporer, Cruz and Macrae all took second-place honors.
