Moorestown Schools Announce Closures Ahead Of Winter Storm

The announcements were made Monday night.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday due to the snow storm expected to dump 6 to 10 inches on the region.

Moorestown Friends School will also be closed on Tuesday due to inclement weather.

Rowan College at Burlington County, which is on spring break, will be closed, and all activities have been canceled.

Residents are reminded that township ordinance requires residents to shovel their sidewalk at the end of the snowfall. Residents are also asked to move their cars off the street to allow plows to do their job.

Trash normally collected on Tuesday will instead be collected on Wednesday, and trash normally collected on Wednesday will still be collected on Wednesday.

Snow is expected to begin falling Monday night, becoming heavy later in the evening through midday Tuesday. Snow is expected to diminish by late Tuesday afternoon.

Winds out of the northeast are expected to be 15 to 25 mph, with wind gusts of up to 35 mph. Temperatures in the upper 20s to mid 30s are expected, and visibility is expected to be a half mile or less at all times.
