Woman, 83, Killed In Burlington County Crash: Police

Authorities are seeking witnesses as they investigate the morning collision.

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A woman sustained fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Burlington Township, officials said.

The crash happened at about 8:15 a.m. around Route 541 and Kelly Drive. Rose Zampino was driving northbound on Route 541 when her Mitsubishi Sedan collided with a southbound Volvo SUV, authorities said.

First responders removed Zampino, 83, from her vehicle. The Burlington Township resident was brought to Virtua Willingboro Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after, police said.
