Woman Arrested After Stealing 95 Cents
The incident began with the report of a shoplifting in progress at Macy's.

Moorestown, NJ -- A Camden woman police say stole 95 cents in change from a fountain at the Moorestown Mall was arrested because she also had a warrant out for her arrest, Moorestown Police Chief Lee Lieber said Friday morning.
Police were initially responding to a call for a shoplifting in progress at Macy’s at the Moorestown Mall, Lieber said.
When police responded to the scene, the woman fled the store. Police found the woman, identified as 20-year-old Erica Ramos, by PJ Whelihan’s.

She was in possession of an anti-shoplifting bag, which is lined in such a way as to defeat a store’s shoplifting sensors. She had no merchandise from Macy’s, and there were no charges in connection with that incident.
She was found to have a warrant out for her arrest out of Camden for $499, Lieber said. The warrant was in connection with a theft.

She also admitted to stealing the change from the fountain. She was charged with theft and possession of an anti-shoplifting device by Moorestown Police.
“Normally, she wouldn’t have been arrested for just stealing change,” Lieber said. “It was because of the warrant.”
Ramos was turned over to Camden Police and released on her own recognizance.
