Woman Who Was Active In Local Churches Passes At 90

Marie Elizabeth Hoey (nee Foskett), a.k.a. Chickie, a.k.a. Nana passed away on June 27, 2018. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday. She was born in New York City, and she never let you forget it.

Marie was a former member of Holy Name Parish and Altar Rosary Society in Delran, NJ and currently of O.L.G.C in Moorestown, NJ. She had retired from Dakis Oldmobile and was a devoted volunteer with Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice for over 22 years.

Wife of her grade school classmate, the late Robert T. Hoey Sr. Mother of Robert (Donna) Hoey and Gerry Hoey. Also survived by her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter, Jean Marie Satkofsky and brother, Charles A. Foskett and sister-in-law, Sarah.

At the request of the family, services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Marlton, NJ 08053 or to the Multiple Sclerosis Association, 375 Kings Highway North, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
