World War II Vet Involved In Moorestown Community Passes
John R. Boyer passed away on Nov. 22, 2018.

MOORESTOWN, NJ - John R. Boyer, born on Dec. 11, 1923, passed away on Nov. 22, 2018. Cherished by his family, John will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 68 years, Ann; his loving daughter, Lynne, and husband, Joseph Wynne; his adoring grandchildren, Scott (Whitney) Wynne and Amy (Mike) Doran; dear nephews, George Colfer and John Dill; and devoted and treasured friend, Jay Dever. John was preceded in death by his son, John Scott Boyer.
John was raised in Collingswood, NJ, and resided in Moorestown, NJ, for over 61 years. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces for 3 years during World War II. He was a 1948 graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Truly a self-made man, John’s business career was spent in building and real estate. He was very active in community affairs which included serving as the President of Moorestown Rotary, Chairman of the Burlington County Board of Appeals, and as a board member of the Moorestown Community House and Moorestown Historical Society, among others.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Monday, Dec. 10, at the First Presbyterian Church, 101 Bridgeboro Road in Moorestown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown or BrightFocus Foundation for Macular Degeneration Research.
