YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties Swim Coach Jamie Platt Hired as Sunnybrook Swim Club Head Coach

Jamie Platt, head coach for the YBCC Phoenix Junior I Group, has assumed the position of head coach at Sunnybrook Swim Club in Moorestown

The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties is proud to announce that Jamie Platt, head coach for the YBCC Phoenix Junior I Group, has assumed the position of head coach at Sunnybrook Swim Club in Moorestown. Sunnybrook is one of only six A Division Swim Clubs in the Tri-County League.

As a competitive swimmer her entire life, Platt brings valuable experience to the Sunnybrook Makos. A former Tri-County swimmer for both Woodcrest Swim Club and Barclay Farm Swim Club, Platt continued her swimming career at Susquehanna University, until suffering a career-ending injury her sophomore year. Platt then assumed the position of administrative assistant for the team, where she gained valuable coaching experience from the pool deck.

“What a fantastic hire for Sunnybrook and the Makos,” said Chris Brookover, head coach of the YBCC Phoenix and director of competitive swimming at the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties. “Coach Jamie is extremely passionate, organized and knows how to make training fun. Her work ethic and knowledge are going to be great assets for Sunnybrook Swim Club.”

“I am honored and very excited for this coaching opportunity with Sunnybrook and coach a sport I am so passionate about,” said Platt. “I’m thrilled to begin this summer season as head coach, and am excited to lead the Makos to successfully completing their goals and having fun.”
