You Are Not Alone!

We can end the stigma of Mental Illness

NAMI NJ Walks 2019

We can end the stigma of Mental Illness! By gathering, almost a thousand strong, to show that “You Are Not Alone”, we prove that Mental Illness has no reason to be stigmatized. One out of four people will suffer with Mental Illness throughout their lifetime.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness NJ held a walk on Saturday, October 5th in Seaside Park to show the collective of people-you and me-that Mental Illness has affected. NAMI realizes the stigma associated with Mental Illness, but we also know that there are so many that are affected by it as caregivers or those needing services. And we know that coming together to support each other helps.

NAMI Burlington County participated in the walk, as we do each year. It was a beautiful day on the boardwalk at the beach. And we felt a fellowship with others in New Jersey that understand the highs and lows of Mental Illness. It was a wonderfully fantastic day!

NAMI Burlington County is still accepting donations for the walk in order to help those in our county in their quest to improve their lives. To do so, please use the website https://www.namiwalks.org. Or call 856-222-9400 for assistance.
