ADATH SHALOM HOSTS SECOND ANNUAL HALF-TIME HAVDALAH TO CELEBRATE SHABBAT SHALEM – JEWISH DISABILITY AWARENESS MONTH
Adath Shalom Synagogue, located in Parsippany, New Jersey is happy to announce its Second Annual Half-Time Havdalah Celebration to be held Saturday evening, February 3rd from 5:15 pm to 8:00 pm and invites any and all adults in the Greater Metro-West community who have “special needs.”
The synagogue is totally handicapped accessible.

A special highlight of this year’s Half Time Havdalah will be our special guest and help to conduct the Maariv service and Havdalah. Lior Liebling who was featured in the 2008 film “Praying With Lior,” which documents Lior, a Jewish boy who has Down Syndrome, as he grows up in a Jewish community surrounded with love, support and ruach as he prepared for his Bar Mitzvah. Lior participates actively today in a monthly Men’s Prayer Retreat in Pennsylvania.
The Shabbat Shalem celebration will include the service followed by an Italian dinner, and lots of fun activities for all, including cookie decorating, arts and crafts, and karaoke singing.

There will be also be a special art show from the WAE Center.
The event is free to any adult who has special needs and his/her caregiver. The charge for anyone else who would like to attend is $9 per person with a cap of $25. All are welcome.
