The following is a letter to the editor from Morris Township resident Noel Robinson:
As one of the more than 7,000 senior citizens in Morris Township, I know that the Township Trio (Samantha Rothman, Stephanie Lyon, and Jeremy Godwin) have our best interests in mind.
Samantha, who currently serves on the Township Committee, is already working hard to ensure the new senior bus will be used efficiently and effectively. She is also looking ahead to how the future community center will best serve seniors.
Stephanie, as a licensed clinical psychologist, is well attuned to the health and well-being of seniors. Expanding our Township health and wellness offerings will be a priority with Stephanie, Samantha, and Jeremy.
Jeremy, as a communications specialist, will be most attentive to improving communication in the Township. Our Township website needs to be much more user-friendly in order for us to be able to access the plethora of senior resources that are currently on the site.
All three are keenly aware of the importance of keeping Morris Township affordable for seniors. Keeping taxes down while maintaining our quality of life here is no easy task, but this trio will manage this best. Dealing with state-mandated imperatives regarding building additional affordable housing over the next 10 ten years requires their keen oversight.
I am fully confident that Samantha Rothman, Stephanie Lyon, and Jeremy Godwin for Township Committee deserve the vote of all seniors in the Township. Let's vote for them on November 3.
