Arjun Khadse Earns the Rank of Eagle Scout
Boy Scout Troop 39 of Morris Plains recognizes its 86th Eagle Scout

On Sunday, June 5, 2016, a Court of Honor ceremony was held by Morris Plains Boy Scout Troop 39 in recognition of Arjun Khadse’s promotion to Eagle Scout, Scouting’s highest rank. The eighty-sixth Scout from Troop 39 to achieve this honor, Arjun has exhibited wonderful leadership skills and dedication to his troop.
To earn the rank of Eagle, a Scout must complete the most difficult of a series of advancement requirements, the Eagle Scout service project. Arjun accomplished this by leading more than a dozen youth and adult volunteers in transforming the decaying asphalt front walk of the Morris Plains Teen Center into an attractive patio-type gathering area, complete with pavers, landscaping, and other improvements.
Arjun was responsible for the concept, approval, planning and execution of all aspects of this project, including working with local craftsmen, hardscape suppliers, town representatives, and volunteer workers who together contributed a total of 170 volunteer hours. The updated Teen Center has earned praise from the teens and parents of Morris Plains.
