Arthur's Extends Red Cross Donation Period

 has extended and expanded its fundraising effort for the American Red Cross.

On Tuesday, we reported that the restaurant would donate one dollar for every lunch or dinner entree purchased on Wed., Sept. 7 or Thurs., Sept. 8.

The effort will now continue through Friday and owner Alyce McGreevy has said she will personally donate an additional dollar for every entree purchased.

 “I’ve been seeing the devastation first-hand with my dear friends and fellow business owners who have lost their homes and property completely," McGreevy said. "The American Red Cross has been here from the beginning providing meals and support to these people."

She is matching the restaurant's donation, she said, "so that the American Red Cross can continue this wonderful service that they are providing. Our prayers and thoughts are with everyone.”
