Brightview Randolph Hosts Educational Seminar with Dementia Expert on Thursday, December 3 at 6:00pm
Free seminar for families, friends and caregivers will be held at Brightview Randolph at 175 Quaker Church Road.

Brightview Randolph, a brand new senior living community in Randolph, will host dementia expert Dr. Patrick Doyle, PhD for an educational seminar, titled Dementia Reconsidered: Empathy and the Pursuit of Happiness.
The free seminar for families, friends and caregivers will be held on Thursday, December 3 at 6:00 pm at the community – located at 175 Quaker Church Road.
A skilled and experienced researcher and educator in the field of gerontology and dementia care, Dr. Doyle will offer a better understanding of what someone with dementia actually goes through and ways to connect with the person inside to improve their sense of purpose and self-esteem.

Brightview’s Corporate Director of Dementia Care, Dr. Doyle is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).
“Serving as a resource for older adults, families, caregivers and others in the community is important to us,” notes Marie Milano, Executive Director. “And partnering with Dr. Doyle and sharing his expertise and knowledge with the community is exciting.”

“Working together, we create moments of joy for families, friends and caregivers of people living with dementia and other forms of memory impairments,” concludes Marie.
Brightview Randolph features Independent Living apartment homes, Assisted Living apartment homes and a Wellspring Village® neighborhood dedicated to dementia and Alzheimer’s care. The community opened in October 2015.
