CareFinders Total Care together with Arbor Terrace Morris Plains is hosting a complimentary CE dinner and presentation, Setting a Humanistic Framework for the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia, featuring Inspired Memory Care's co-founders Kelly Gilligan and Nettie Harper on Thursday, November 16th at Arbor Terrace Morris Plains, 361 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Registration is at 5 pm - presentation from 5:30-7:30. The presentation offers 2.0 credits for Social Workers and 1.o credit for Certified Case Managers.
This course will explore the meaning of the "humanistic" approach to health care and the role of the interdisciplinary team in creating a meaningful experience for clients and families. Participants will learn strengths that tend to remain in tact late into the progression of many diseases that cause dementia, as well as methods for incorporating those strengths into the daily care-partner experience to support an active and purposeful lifestyle beyond diagnosis.
