Cops: Man Was Speeding, Had No License

A Staten Island man was arrested after speeding through Morris Plains without a license, police said.

According to Detective Bruce Rapp of the Morris Plains Police Department, the incident occurred on Sept. 9 shortly after 8 p.m.

Rapp said Sgt. Michael Rolph, while on patrol, pulled over a car driven by Joseph Mancuso of Staten Island. The car was reportedly moving at 43 mph in a 25 mph zone.

During the stop, Mancuso's license was checked and found to be revoked, Rapp said. Mancuso was arrested, taken to the police station and later released pending a mandatory court appearance, Rapp said.
