Cops Searching for Alleged Burglar in Morristown Area
Police found back door of home was smashed, resident locked herself in bathroom while intruder was in bedroom.

Police are seeking someone who allegedly broke into a Morris Township home while a resident was inside and asking for the public’s help.
At 12:32 p.m. Monday, police received a call from a Blackberry Lane home resident who stated someone broke into her home and she locked herself in the bathroom, and heard the alleged burglar in the bedroom, Morris Township Capt. Robert Duffy said.
When police arrived the alleged burglar was gone, but found the rear door to the residence had been smashed, Duffy said.

A search of the area was conducted by the Morris Township and Morristown Police, as well as the Morris County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit but came up with no results.
The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information regarding the investigation contact the Morris Township Detective Bureau at 973-326-7480.
