Cops Searching for Knife-Wielding Robber Who Cut Morristown Dollar Store Employee

Alleged robber is described as six-foot-tall black man, police report.

Morristown police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Dollar Store on Spring Street at knifepoint Sunday night and cut an employee’s neck, Lt. Stuart Greer announced.

Police responded to the call at 11 p.m. for a report of a robbery, Greer said. When they arrived, they found a male victim, 28, who is an employee of the store, and told police he had been robbed at knifepoint, Greer said. After the incident the alleged assailant fled on foot, Greer said.

The employee told police the alleged robber took out a knife and demanded cash from the register, then cut the victim on the neck before running away, Greer said.

The alleged robber is described as a black man, about six-feet tall, and was wearing a brown coat and black winter hat at the time of the incident, Greer said.

Morristown Emergency Medical Services treated and transported the victim to Morristown Medical Center for a superficial laceration to the neck.
