Months-Long Water Main Project Forces Detours in Mendham Borough, Township
Westbound traffic on Rt. 24 will take alternate routes between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.

As temperatures rise and snow begins to melt, major road projects are underway, including one in the Mendhams that will significantly impact traffic for the next three months.
A water main project began this week on Route 24 in Mendham Borough, and has created detours that run through Mendham Township, Lt. Ross Johnson announced.
The project is expected to take three months and detours will be set up for westbound traffic during the weekday hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Johnson said.

Police are asking motorists to be cognizant of their speeds when traveling through the detours and allow extra time for travel.
Eastbound traffic will remain open and flowing but temporary delays may occur, Johnson said.
