Morris County Medicaid Applicants: New Online Portal Available

The New Jersey Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services has implemented new changes to its online portal.

The New Jersey Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services has implemented new changes to its online portal to apply for all Medicaid programs. As of Jan. 1, 2020, anyone who required Medicaid assistance should apply online directly to NJ Family Care.

This new portal will allow participants to complete their Medicaid application online and upload required documents via smartphone, tablet or PC. Participants can easily check on the status of their Medicaid application online as well as receive electronic notifications.

To utilize this portal, participants must be able to provide an email address at the time of application. It is estimated that the application can be completed in 10 minutes.

Although participants can still visit our Morris County government offices in Morris Township or Dover to complete Medicaid applications, residents are encourage to utilize the new portal which should provide quicker processing of applications and cases.

Medicaid provides health coverage to many county residents, including eligible low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults and people with disabilities. The program is funded jointly by states and the federal government.
