Morris Plains Police 'Ticketing' Kids This Summer
The tickets are sweeter than they may seem.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — Morris Plains police have been ticketing kids all summer-- no, they kids haven't been speeding. Local officers have been handing out "tickets" to children they've seen doing something good around town.
If an officer sees a child doing a good thing, they get a ticket for a free ice cream from the Morris Plains Friendly's.
Joey, pictured above with Lt. Michael Koroski, was "ticketed" for safely wearing a helmet while riding his bike.

Summer's not over yet, and police still have tickets to hand out.
"We still have some tickets, so residents tell your children to get outside, be active, and always wear a bicycle helmet when riding!" police said.
