Morris Township Mail-In Ballots May Be Up In Smoke

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ - A mail delivery truck fire Saturday may have seen some mail-in ballots destroyed, according to the Morris County Clerk.

On Monday the County Clerk’s Office was notified that a mail delivery truck caught on fire while delivering mail and Post Office officials believe that ballots to be delivered may possibly have been in the mail truck.

The USPS has provided a list of the streets below that may have been affected. Those streets are as follows:

  • Lord William Penn Dr., 22-40 & 47-1
  • Baer Ct., 4, 8, & 15-3
  • Jason Lane, 4-14 & 15-1
  • Colonel Evans Dr., 10-22 & 23-1
  • Bradford Ct., 5, 3, 2, 1
  • Sussex Ave., 632 – 500

Any registered Democrat or Republican voter who may reside at these addresses and did not receive a Vote by Mail Ballot or an Unaffiliated voter who did not receive a Vote by Mail Application is urged to contact the Clerk's Office immediately at 973-285-6066.
