One local cleaning lady allegedly did more than just vacuum and wipe down the sinks in a Mendham Township home recently.
According to Mendham Township police, a resident came into headquarters on Nov. 12 just before 1 p.m. to report a diamond wedding ring had been stolen from her home. The ring was valued at $20,000, police said.
The homeowner told police she suspected it could have been a member of a local cleaning service that had recently done work in her home, police said.
