National American Miss Pageant
Local Morris County girl selected as State Finalist in the National American Miss New Jersey Pageant
Miss Jailynn A. Vega, age 9, has been chosen as a State Finalist in the National American Miss New Jersey Pageant to be held August 12-13, 2016 at the beautiful Hyatt Regency New Brunswick. The pageant is held for girls ages four through eighteen in five different age divisions.
The newly crowned Miss Junior Pre Teen New Jersey will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses, and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California. She will also tour Hollywood. She has the chance to represent the great state of New Jersey for the entire year.
Contestants will compete in four overall categories including Formal Wear Modeling, Personal Introduction, Interview and Community Service Project. National American Miss also offers optional contests such as the Top Model Search, Talent, Actress and so much more!

National American Miss is dedicated to celebrating America's greatness and encouraging its future leaders. Each year, the pageant awards thousands in scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist in the development of young ladies nationwide. All activities are age-appropriate and family-oriented.
The National American Miss Pageant System is the largest in the Nation. The focurs of this organization is to create future leaders to equip them with real-world skills to make their dreams a reality. The program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation, and offers an "All-American spirit of fun for family and friends." Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence and learning new skills, such as good attitudes about competition, as well as setting and achieving personal goals.

Miss Vega's activities include playing sports all year round, which include soccer, basketball and softball. She loves to watch DIY videos on YouTube and explore all animal related videos and movies as she aspires to be a Veterinarian when she grows up. She also enjoys writing short stories, playing with her friends and three sisters, and loves taking care of her puppy Jade.
