Police: Woman Hit 9-Year-Old In Head With Frying Pan
Woman also is accused of punching child in the back.

A Randolph woman was jailed this week after she allegedly hit a 9-year-old child in the head with a frying pan.
Donna Ambrosio-Ruglio, 45, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Morris County Prosecutor's Office Detective Cheryl Drinkard interviewed the child on Feb. 2. The child told Drinkard that the previous day, the child was eating a bagel with cream cheese, and dropped it on the floor, according to an affidavit signed by the detective and on file with Superior Court in Morris County.

"[The child] said that the defendant yelled at [the child], and told him that the cream cheese was going to 'kill the dog,'" the affidavit states. "The defendant proceeded to hit [the child] over the head with a frying pan and punch [the child] in the back. She told him that 'he was stupid.' Once he got to his room, the defendant stopped."
The affidavit continues: "During the course of the interview, [the child] stated that he did not understand why the defendant didn't just clean up the cream cheese instead of hitting him. He said the defendant has done things like this 'over a thousand times' and he never said anything because he wanted to forget about it but this time he had to because it was 'the most serious.'"
