Since we have a store in Morris Plains, we asked for some tips on fashion trends for fall. Alise Buehrer, a spokesperson for the retail chain, named five must-have garments:
- Feminine Blouses - Leave the man-style shirts in the closet this fall and go for lady-like looks. A blouse with a soft style, wispy fabrics or draping is more popular right now.
- Short Hemlines - Ultra-short skirts were seen this summer and the trend is continuing into fall. Take up the hems on skirts, dresses and fall shorts or buy something new and fashionable.
- Faux-Fur Details - Everyday items like sweatshirts, jackets and hoodies are sporting a bit more decoration this days, including faux-fur collars and cuffs. These details are also popping up on boots and even handbags.
- Ponchos- Whether you love it or hate it, the poncho is back. The shapes are a bit more modern this time around, though.
- Super-High and Super-Low Boots - This fall, the popular boot styles are over-the-knee and ankle-height. They're also sporting lots of details like buckles or faux-fur.
