Arrests include a stolen handgun, possession of narcotics, and a D.W.I.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — The following actions were reported by the Morris County Park Police Department:
SUSPICIOUS ITEM
On Sept. 18, officers reported to a call regarding a suspicious item on a path at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township. After investigation, officers revealed the item wasn't dangerous, police said. The item was then properly disposed of.

ARREST FOR DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED (D.W.I.)
On Sept. 19, a Morristown man was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. An officer executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation committed by Ricardo Quesada, 46, and discovered he was intoxicated, police said. Quesada was released with a court date pending.

ARRESTS FOR NARCOTICS
On Sept. 23, an officer stopped four suspicious persons on Patriots' Path in Morristown. An investigation led to several charges, police said. Miguel Culan-Ruiz, 19, of Morristown was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with the Intent to Distribute Within 500 feet of a Public Park, and several other charges. Emigdio Mendoza, age 19, of Morristown, and two juveniles were charged with Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Mr. Culan-Ruiz wasn't able to post bail and was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility. Mr. Mendoza was released with a court date pending; and the two juveniles were released to their parents, police said.
ARREST FOR WARRANTS
On Sept. 24, an officer executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Jefferson, which led to the discovery that the driver had warrants for her arrest. Lindsay R. Szymanek, 33, of Bristol, PA., had a warrant for failing to appear in Jefferson Municipal Count and an N.C.I.C. warrant out of Bucks County, PA, police said. Szymanek was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility and awaits extradition to authorities from Bucks County.
ARRESTS FOR STOLEN HANDGUN
On Sept. 24, an officer executed a motor-vehicle stop for a moving violation in Denville. This led to the officer discovering people in the car had a loaded .9mm Beretta. Derrick A. Lamb, 36, of Tobyhanna, PA.; Quincy Jones, age 28, of Mount Pocono, PA.; and Taalib A. Johnson, age 27, of Tobyhana, PA., were charged with Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Handgun for an Unlawful Purpose, and Possession of a Stolen Handgun. All three were unable to post bail and were lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility.
