SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Morris County

FREE pre-screening and application assistance available this January from the Community FoodBank of NJ

The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey will visit various Morris County programs this month to help low-income families and senior citizens see if they might qualify for food stamps. They will help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available on:

  • January 13: Interfaith Food Pantry, 2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains from 1pm to 3pm
  • January 15: WIC Program at St. Margaret’s Church, 6 Sussex Avenue, Morristown from 9:30am to 2:30pm
  • January 20: Interfaith Food Pantry, 2 Executive Drive, Morris Plains from 6pm to 8pm
  • January 21: Morris Community Family Success Center, 73 Bassett Highway, Dover from 9am to noon

The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
