Thursday Morning Club's - Wise Wonderful Women Lecture Series

The public is invited to attend the luncheon and lecture series provided by The Thursday Morning Club on February 11, 2016 from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM at the Madison Community House located at 25 Cook Avenue, Madison. This Wise Wonderful Women exclusive will feature Lisa Rochelle’s presentation “Escaping the Cube: From Finance to Frosting.”

Owner of Sweet Grace Cake Designs located in Bergen County, New Jersey, she will chronicle her journey from being an Equity Research Analyst with Lehman Brothers to becoming a cake designing entrepreneur.

Ms. Rochelle has been named by Martha Stewart Weddings, as amongst the two top wedding cake pros in New Jersey and in the top 63 in the country. She has created cakes for many celebrities and their events which have been featured in multiple bridal magazines and online blogs.

In 2009, the financial crisis put Lisa out of work but she found that changing careers was a “piece of cake.” What started out as a hobby soon became a successful business. She credits the artistic eye that she developed at the Fashion Institute of Technology, online classes and her cake decorator sister for helping her launch into her new adventure.
