Morristown does not have mayoral or Town Council elections this year.

The Morris Township Committee has five members. Each year, they vote on which one of them will chair the committee under the title of mayor.

Grayzel became the first-ever Democratic mayor of Morris Township in 2019. He's also the only Democrat to get elected to three terms in the township, holding a seat on the committee from 2007-09, 2012-14 and 2019-21.

Mancuso, the incumbent candidate, has served seven terms on the Township Committee. He has been on the committee on and off since 1978.

Republicans in the area will also have a decision to make in the Congressional primary. Five GOP candidates hope to face Rep. Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat, for the 11th District seat: Paul DeGroot, Ruth McAndrew, Tayfun Selen, Toby Anderson and Alexander R. Halter.
