5 Halloween Events In Morristown (Besides Trick-Or-Treating)
From trunk-or-treat to cosplay night to bar crawls (for those of legal drinking age), there's plenty to do this Halloween season.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — One day of Halloween isn't enough for the holiday's most passionate celebrants. And if the pandemic taught us anything about special times of the year, it's that holiday gatherings and celebrations shouldn't be taken for granted.
Sure, Halloween is only one day on the calendar. But for Halloween fans young and old wishing to stretch out the festivities, Morristown has you covered.

Bar Crawls
Consider it a more-adult version of trick-or-treating. PubCrawls.com will host three bar crawls, set to occur this Saturday, Oct. 29 and Oct. 31.

The crawls include drink specials, live DJs, a costume contest and "admission into only the top rated bars," according to Pub Crawls. The service's website still shows tickets available for Oct. 29's crawl, which will run from 3-9 p.m.
Pumpkin Illumination
Oct. 23: 5 p.m., Vail Mansion reflecting pool (rain date Oct. 30)
The evening of fun for all ages includes an art workshop with artist Dan Fenelon, live jazz music by The Alex De Lazzari Quartet, and the luminary parade led by Mayor Tim Dougherty.
Then, there's the headlining moment: the pumpkin illumination. Bring your carved pumpkin to the reflecting pond in front of the Vail Mansion.

Morristown Game Vault Halloween Cosplay Nite (sic)
Oct. 28: 7-11 p.m., Morristown Game Vault (22 South St.)
Attention gamers and cosplay fans, Morristown's center for classic gaming will host its annual Halloween celebration. The event is open for all ages to celebrate the season, compete for prizes and enjoy some retro games.
Cosplay, homemade and store-bought costumes are all welcome. And costumes won't be required for the special discounted rate of $20, but they're highly encouraged. Find more info here.
Morris Township's Trunk Or Treat
Oct. 29: 1 p.m., Dwyer Lane
The event will include a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pony rides and, of course, truck-or-treating. A showing of "The Addams Family 2" will also take place at dusk on Ginty Field.
Registration is required for giving out candy — individually wrapped candy only, as no homemade treats will be allowed. Find event info here. Those registering can do so via CommunityPass.
Halloween Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Morristown
Oct. 31: 3-5 p.m.
This is more than your typical Halloween ritual of going home to home. Costumed children have trick-or-treated at Morristown businesses for almost 30 years, according to the Morristown Partnership.
