Activists Present Petitions Supporting Obamacare to Frelinghuysen

A group of activists led by Essex County Organizing for Action (OFA) and Blue Wave NJ presented 1000 petition signatures supporting Obamacare to the office of Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen. These petitions were collected over 2 hours last Sunday in Montclair, demonstrating the immense support President Obama's signature health plan has in this part of the Congressman's District.

"Essex County residents in the 11th District want to preserve a health plan that has helped millions of Americans and hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans get the health insurance they need. We want to be sure that Congressman Frelinghuysen hears their voices and does not support any repeal of Obamacare without a replacement that will ensure the same protections for Americans,' said Larry Hirsch, Team Leader for Essex County OFA. "The fact that 30 people came out on a cold Sunday and another dozen are with us today shows how dedicated the Congressman's constituents are to preserving this vital program."
