MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County man has been arrested after he secretly filmed sex with an unsuspecting partner and shared it online, and stalked several others, according to prosecutors.
Eric Morales-Cortez, 20, of Dover, faces several charges after investigators discovered he’d harassed and stalked multiple victims over the course of several years, authorities say.
Officials said that Cortez filmed a victim during an explicit act without consent and proceeded to share it across social media.
Cortez is also accused of sending explicit and unprompted videos to a victim in 2023 and another in 2025.
Furthermore, prosecutors say Cortez filmed a different victim on multiple occasions, “placing her in fear for her safety.” He would also trespass on the property of another woman, peering into her window, according to officials.
Following a lengthy investigation, Cortez was charged with two counts of invasion of privacy, four counts of cyber harassment, three counts of stalking, four counts of obscenity, one count of peering, and one count of criminal trespass.
Cortez is currently being held in the Morris County Correctional Facility to await court proceedings.
