MORRISTOWN & MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Turns out your library card can get you more than just books.
Owners of a Morristown & Morris Township Library card have access to some of the most culturally significant hubs in the tri-state area.
Library members can, for example, get access to The Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Tickets usually cost $30 for adults and $19 for seniors and students. The pass admits two adults and three children 18 and under. All you need is your library card, a pass from the library, and means of transportation to see one of the most popular art museums on the planet.
Patrons must present a valid library card in good standing to borrow a pass. Only one pass may be checked out per card for a four-day loan period with no renewals.
Passes must be picked up from and returned to the main Circulation Desk and should not be placed in the outdoor book return. Patrons may reserve a pass by phone for same-day pickup.
To check availability, search “museum pass” in the library catalog at https://morristowntwp.aspendiscovery.org or call 973-538-6161.
Late fees are $5 per day. Lost passes may incur replacement costs ranging from $50 to $500, while lost cases carry a $2 fee.
