Morristown Woman Recognized For Outstanding Leadership In Health Insurance

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown resident Katie Skilton has received the 2026 President's Award from the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP-NJ), according to the organization.

The award recognizes people who have shown leadership, dedication, and service to NABIP-NJ, a trade association serving health insurance and benefits leaders across New Jersey. According to the announcement, Skilton was honored for more than two decades of active involvement with NABIP-NJ and its regional chapters.

Skilton has been an active member of NABIP-NJ since 2003. Her leadership roles with the organization have included vice president, conference chair, and president from 2023 to 2024. She now serves as the state membership chair, supporting member recruitment, engagement, and retention efforts across New Jersey, according to the organization.

“Katie’s dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact on this association and its members,” NABIP-NJ President Jim Lardiere said. “Her commitment to supporting the industry and many contributions to NABIP continue to advance our profession throughout New Jersey.”

Skilton, of Morristown, is a longtime account executive at Delta Dental. The announcement said she has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and has built longstanding relationships with professionals and clients throughout New Jersey.

“I am incredibly honored to receive this award from an organization that has been such an important part of my professional journey,” Skilton said. “NABIP-NJ has given me an opportunity to grow as a leader and continue to support our industry. I’m grateful for the support and friendships I’ve gained throughout the years and look forward to continuing to contribute to the association.”

NABIP-NJ is the state chapter of NABIP and represents licensed health insurance agents, brokers, consultants, and benefit professionals in New Jersey. According to the organization, those members serve the health insurance needs of large and small employers as well as individuals across the state.

The award adds to a long record of service within the association for Skilton, whose involvement now spans more than 20 years.
