MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County man's dog "tattle-tailed" on his owner recently after a police officer recognized him.
On June 29, around 9:30 p.m., a police officer was on routine patrol in Budd Lake when he spotted a familiar German Shepherd.
The officer knew the dog belonged to Dominick Fernandez, 28, of Budd Lake, who had a warrant out for his arrest, officials said.
The officer found Fernandez outside his residence, and a run of his credentials showed active warrants out of Fairfield and Parsippany totaling $3,250.
Police took Fernandez into police headquarters to process him before he was released to await court proceedings.
