Free Morristown Jazz & Blues Fest Returns With Full Day Of Live Music

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Jazz, blues and swing fans can enjoy a full day of free live music when the annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival returns to the Morristown Green on Saturday, Aug. 15.

The festival, which has become one of downtown Morristown's signature summer events, will feature five acts performing from noon through 9:30 p.m. Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets and spend the day on the Green.

There are no food vendors at the festival, but guests are welcome to bring a picnic or patronize Morristown's nearby restaurants and businesses.

The festival is dedicated to the memory of founding members Linda Kiger Smith and Michael Fabrizio, who both died within a week of each other in 2021.

2026 Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival lineup

• Noon–1:30 p.m. – James Langton New York All-Star Big Band featuring Dan Levinson
  • A swing-era big band performing classics from Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw and Count Basie, with vocals by Molly Ryan.
• 2–3:30 p.m. – Richard Baratta Gotham City Latin/Jazz Septet
  • A Grammy-nominated ensemble performing Latin jazz standards alongside new interpretations of songs like Purple Haze, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and Mas Que Nada.
• 4–5:30 p.m. – LaBamba and the Hubcaps
  • Led by Richie "LaBamba" Rosenberg, the New Jersey band blends jazz, blues and funk. Rosenberg has performed with Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi.
• 6–7:30 p.m. – Dylan Triplett
  • The 2023 Blues Award winner brings his four-and-a-half-octave vocal range to the Green after touring with the Experience Hendrix Tour alongside blues legends.
• 8–9:30 p.m. – Christone "Kingfish" Ingram
  • The Grammy Award-winning guitarist, singer and songwriter closes out the festival. Rolling Stone has called the Mississippi native a "rare 21st century guitar hero" and "the undisputed future of the blues."
