Morris Co. Hot Dog Joint Abruptly Closes Its Doors

The eatery also sold staples like burgers, Italian sausage sandwiches, and cheese fries.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — After serving hot dogs, burgers, and more to hungry Morris County residents for nearly a year, Mama B's Grill has closed its doors for good.

The establishment, located at 6 Elmer Street in Madison, announced that its final day of operation was Aug. 17.

"What started as a dream became so much more than just a restaurant. Mama B's became a place filled with familiar faces, conversations across the counter, laughs, memories, and so much love," a social media statement read. "Every person who walked through our doors, placed an order, shared our posts, recommended us to someone, or simply wished us well became a small part of our story."

Mama B's Grill opened in December 2025. In July, the establishment announced it was looking to sell the business, citing "ongoing health issues."

For months, the eatery served up classics including chili dogs, hamburgers, cheese fries, cheesesteaks, and Italian sausage sandwiches, to name some menu items.

"We're going to miss you so much!! Thank you for all your delicious food, and we wish you the best," one social media user wrote.

"Best cheesesteak in town! Best of luck," wrote another.

"While this chapter is coming to an end, the most important thing now is Mama B herself. As she focuses on her health and the road ahead, we ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers and wish her nothing but strength, healing, happiness, and brighter days ahead," a statement read. "Mama B's Grill may be closing its doors, but the love behind it, the people we met, and the memories we made will stay with us forever. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing Mama B's to be a little piece of your lives. Here's to Mama B, to her health, to new beginnings, and to whatever beautiful chapter comes next."
