On Tuesday, around 5 p.m., first responders were called to a three-alarm fire at Mega BBQ on Spring Street.
The blaze prompted the evacuation of the restaurant, as well as three attached apartments.
According to Morristown Director of Public Safety Michael Corcoran Jr., firefighters "quickly and aggressively attacked the fire and brought it under control in approximately 30 minutes, demonstrating the training, dedication, and teamwork we have come to expect from them."
"Thankfully, no injuries were reported. This was a true team effort, and I am proud of everyone who responded," Corcoran said. "The cooperation, professionalism, and commitment demonstrated by our firefighters, police officers, volunteers, and mutual aid partners reflect the very best of public safety and the spirit of service that keeps our community safe."
According to a report from the MorristownGreen, one apartment was damaged, and its occupants were provided temporary housing by the Red Cross.
It's not clear what started the fire at this time.
