On June 28, 2025, around 11 a.m., Dover police responded to a call about an armed robbery at a local deli.
Police said an employee reported that a masked man entered the deli with a handgun and restrained a customer while pointing the gun at him.
The gunman then turned the weapon on two employees, demanding money, authorities said.
The employees turned over $360, and the suspect exited the store and escaped the scene in a getaway car, according to police.
After further investigation, police identified Brown as the suspect and arrested him the following day.
Brown was initially charged with three counts of robbery, one count of unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun), one count of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and three counts of aggravated assault (pointing a firearm at an individual). A plea deal reduced the charges to just the three counts of robbery.
On Oct. 16, Brown was sentenced to ten years in prison. He will be subject to the No Early Release Act, as well as have to pay restitution, have no contact with the robbery victims, and forfeit his firearm.
