MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown residents with a sweet tooth have a special opportunity to have their cake and eat it too at a local bakery's anniversary event.
This Saturday, Dän Bakery and Cafe, located at 64 South Street, will be celebrating one year of operating in Morristown, and you're invited to the party.
At 11 a.m., the bakery will be cutting a giant version of its signature honey cake to give away for free to attendees. In addition to the free cake, all items in the store will be 30 percent off all day.
"You welcomed us from the day we opened," a flyer reads. "One year later, this is our way of saying thanks: Come have cake with us."
Dän Bakery opened this location last year, following its locations in Hoboken and New York City. The bakery focuses on Central Asian and European classics, baking items like honey cake, Napoleon, samsa, burek, buttery croissants, and more, from scratch.
In addition to whole cakes, guests can also enjoy coffee and pastries.
"Absolutely loved this bakery! Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The coffee was excellent, the pastries were amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming," one Google reviewer wrote. "The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. You can really tell they care about the quality of their food and service. Definitely one of those places you want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended!"
