Back To School: Morristown's Calendar For The 2022-23 Academic Year

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Morristown, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Morris School District.

The first day of school for most students in Morristown is Sept. 6.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its two-and-a-half-year mark.

The Morris School District has made no new announcements regarding a change in mask policy for students in school or on school buses, regardless of vaccination status.

Mask wearing will remain optional for all staff and students.

COVID-19 school guidelines could be significantly relaxed by the CDC in the coming days. Specifically, guidelines addressing screening for the virus as well as social distancing could be eased, according to CNN.
