Beloved Morristown Food Truck Opens 1st Brick & Mortar Storefront

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Soon enough, Morristown residents and visitors won’t be the only ones able to enjoy the delights offered by Colonial Food Truck.

Colonia Grill, a food truck that has been serving cultural fusion grub to Morristown residents and visitors for more than a decade, has opened its first storefront in Jersey City.

The Afro-Colombian, father-and-son-owned business now has three locations: two trucks in Morristown and Hoboken, and the storefront in Jersey City.

The permanent opening comes after the Colonial Grill held a few pop-up, soft openings at the building in Jersey City.

The store is located at 210 Hudson Street and will offer the same delights as the trucks. Diners can now sit within four walls and a roof while enjoying Colonial Grill’s famous Patacon "Plantain" Burger, Cheesesteak De Maduro, or beloved Steak and Fries.

“We are so blessed and happy to now have a storefront in Jersey City,” a Colonial Grill social media post read. “My father and I are truly appreciative of every single one of you who continues to come out and support us.”

Colonial Grill's Jersey City location will operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

The opening marks a significant comeback for the company, which suffered a kitchen fire just over a month ago.
