Ben Kingsley Movie Filming In Morris County

Here's where and when you might be able to catch some filming of 'Jules.'

BOONTON, NJ — Morris County is hitting the big screen. A major motion picture starring Ben Kingsley began filming in the area.

"Jules" filming took place Friday in various locations throughout the Town of Boonton, including Town Hall and sections along Main Street, along with Boonton Township. Filming will also occur next Wednesday through Friday, according to the town.

The movie stars Oscar-winner Kingsley, two-time Emmy winner Jane Curtin, Harriet Harris and Zoë Winters. Marc Turtletaub, of Big Beach productions (Little Miss Sunshine, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) is directing.

Kingsley stars as Milton, an elderly man who discovers an alien spaceship in his backyard. The film tells the story of an unlikely group of people coming together to help the extraterrestrial stranger find his way back home.

Kingsley is best known for his starring role in Gandhi, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. He has also garnered two Golden Globes, a Screen Actors Guild Award and a BAFTA Award.
