Black Lives Matter Rally in Morristown Saturday
Demonstrators will gather at 12:15 p.m. and march from the police station to the court house.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — A Black Lives Matter rally will take place in Morristown Saturday.
“We want to spread a message of equality. Not to be anti-cop, but to be anti-hate,” local resident Megan Wolff, who is handing publicity for the event told the Morristown Green.
The rally is planned in response to recent police killings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.

The rally starts at 12:15 p.m. at the Morristown police station and demonstrators plan to march to the court house.
"We are marching to show the world and the justice system that it is time that we as black Americans get treated like everyone else. We will no longer fall subject to be treated like less than animals. LESS than an animal! A wild dog is more likely to get restrained and placed in a behavioral rehabilitation shelter, than a black man/boy is to being restrained and taken to jail and having a FAIR trial. It is time we as a community make a difference," according to the Facebook event page.
