Black's 21 Points Fuels Morristown Boys

Dylan Black finished with a game-high 21 points to lead the Morristown boys basketball team past West Morris, 65-55, Wednesday in Morristown.

The Colonials pounced early, racking up a 21-point first half lead as Ryan Brunnock finished with 18 points and Sean Hoehn added 10 points.

And Morristown wouldn’t relent in the second half, outscoring West Morris 36-25 in the final two frames to secure its fifth win of the season.

Pat Barron went for 20 points and Charles Savite added 14 points for West Morris, who fell to 2-9 with the loss.

Girls Fall in Chester

Twelve West Morris girls scored, leading the Wolfpack to a 76-42 rout of Morristown and its 11th win of the season Wednesday in Chester.

Brielle Kelly finished with a team-high 17 points and Shayna Ericksen added 11 points for West Morris, who outscored Morristown 30-2 in the first quarter on its way to the blowout win.

Bridget McNamara hit seven 3-pointers on her way to a game high 23 points for Morristown (1-9).

Ice Hockey Stops Mendham

Zach Mourad scored two goals and Shane Brown stopped 25 shots as the Morristown ice hockey team stopped Mendham, 4-2, according to NJ.com.

Steven Windt finished with three assists for Morristown (12-3).
